"Ace" is from my first litter.

After almost 2 years of failed attempts at breeding "Jasmine's" sister "Brooke", and an almost failed attempt at breeding "Jasmine", due to a stricture that we didn't know she had... I was learning the difficult lesson of just how complicated and heartbreaking breeding can be.

We did manage to get Jasmine pregnant, only to lose all but one puppy ("Ace"), during an emergency C-section.  Very early in my breeding endeavors, one of my mentors said to me "breeding dogs is not for the faint hearted".  I found that to be true from the beginning, and those words have stuck with me through the years.

Being the only puppy, "Ace" got tons of attention and affection, both from his Mother "Jasmine" (who turned out to be a fabulous Mom) and from me.

We became very close at an early age, and I decided I couldn't imagine him anywhere else but with me.  He turned into a wonderful dog, and is currently 12 years old, and still going strong!

I would like to thank Sue Suinski and Joan Shaw for helping me get the right start.  They taught me so much, and were always there to help along the way.  It is mentors like them, who have truly helped to shape and strengthen this wonderful breed.
